and London Parachute School

Limbless Association is a national charity for individuals with limb loss, their family and their carers. We aim to help these individuals through their own talents and initiatives to become active members of their communities. LA enables limbless people of all ages, with the support of their family and carers, achieve rehabilitation and sustain independence at home, hospital, in education, employment and in the community. LA is the only charity for individuals with limb loss of all ages and backgrounds. We run many programs that are unique to our organisation such as a national helpline devoted to amputee issues; our Football + Project run in conjunction with Chelsea in the Community, and our Outreach Program which co-ordinates our prominent Volunteer Visitors Network. This Network consists of a group of our members who, using their knowledge and experience as amputees, support and encourage people awaiting amputation or amputees experiencing difficulties since their operation. Limbless Association also played a key role in assisting victims who sustained limb-loss during the 7/7 London terrorist attacks.

HelpBureau

The HelpBureau is a multi-channel information service for people with limb loss and their carers. We aim to ensure that they are not alone in their new ways through life. The HelpBureau provides a signposting service by putting you in contact with relevant people or organisations. The HelpBureau is accessible via email, the telephone or in person at our Head Office at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. Callers benefit from a friendly and listening ear to their questions and concerns. We provide them with contact numbers and web addresses for relevant service providers and organisations: such as support groups, benefits advice, sport and leisure activities etc. We can also put people in touch with a Volunteer Visitor. The operating hours are 9am – 5pm on Tuesday and 9am to 2pm Wednesdays and Thursdays.

FUEL Surcharge

Due to the current fuel price increases (aviation fuel), several drop zones are now making a surcharge of up to £30 per person, should this be the case at your selected location the London Parachute School will contact you and advise you of this prior to processing your booking. If you choose to jump at a drop zone that has added a fuel surcharge then you will have to raise that extra amount in addition to the £400 minimum amount to jump, eg if the drop zone you choose has added a fuel surcharge of £15 then you will need to raise a minimum of £415
