Indoor Vertical Wind Tunnel Skydiving

The Vertical Wind Tunnel Skydive
On your first visit you will be taken into a classroom for your briefing by one of our experienced instructors. This will include watching a short video and learning the safety procedures whilst in the tunnel.

You will then progress to the kit up area where you will be given your helmet, goggles, ear plugs, flight suit and if required, training shoes. Your group will then go through to the tunnel ante-chamber where you will watch the people in the previous group finish their session. Then, when it becomes your turn to fly you take your place in the doorway. The instructor will stand in front of you and, when it is time, give you the signal to lean forward into the airflow. The instructor will take hold of your flight suit and hold onto you. YOU ARE NOW FLYING!

When your time is up, he or she will take you to the exit door. You will then rejoin your group and await your second flight.

Lessons
Beginners can choose any of the following lesson choices. The aim of a lesson is to be able to fly without an instructor holding on to you. The time it takes to achieve this varies according to ability.

Lessons include group classroom instruction, pre-flight briefings, safety clothing and 1-2-1 in-flight coaching. You will be assisted in and out of the tunnel by a Bodyflight Instructor. They will also help you to achieve a stable body position and teach you to fly correctly.

Single Lesson

Courses
We also run Starter Courses and Learn to Fly courses. These courses are more intensively coached and include de-briefing with an instructor after each of your flights.

Starter Course: An extended programme that would run over an entire morning, afternoon or evening. It consists of 5 intensively coached lessons including 10 flights, so a total flying time of 12.5 minutes.

Learn to Fly Programme: A comprehensive course designed to teach all the major Bodyflying moves. It comprises of 16 intensively coached lessons including 32 flights in the tunnel, totaling 40 minutes. This course can be spread over two days.

Gift Vouchers
All of the above packages are available as Gift Vouchers for an added charge of £1.50. They come in a special presentation gift wallet and the lucky recipient can use their voucher to make a booking for any date (subject to availability) up to 12 months after the issue date.

Arrival time
Please be aware that you need to arrive at Clapham near Bedford 1 hour before your flight time for your pre-flight briefing. If you miss your briefing you will not be able to fly.
